There are six status levels of VIP at PokerStars. Each status level is entitled to all of the benefits of each level before it as well as additional benefits exclusive the players who can reach that status milestone. The first four VIP Status levels are earned on a monthly basis while the final two, Supernova and Supernova Elite, are earned on an annual basis.

When you achieve a status you will retain your status through the following month, even without earning any more points. To keep your status you must earn the required number of points in the next month as well. PokerStars BronzeStar VIP Status

Everyone starts as a BronzeStar VIP automatically. There are not any special rewards for being a BronzeStar VIP. You may still make purchases at the VIP store but the value is not great at the BronzeStar VIP level. You will earn 1 Frequent Player Point (FPP) for each VIP Player Point (VPP) that you earn. BronzeStar players may purchase a $25 bonus in the VIP Store.

PokerStars SilverStar VIP Status

Once you earn 750 VPPs in one month, you will become a SilverStar at PokerStars. SilverStars will be awarded 1.5 FPPs for each VIP Player Point earned. A $50 bonus may be purchased by SilverStar VIPs. Members who achieve SilverStar status and above will be eligible for special VIP freerolls.

PokerStars GoldStar VIP Status

In order to achieve GoldStar VIP Status, a player must earn 3,000 VIPs in a month. GoldStar VIPs may purchase bonuses worth up to $300 at a time. GoldStar VIP players will earn 2 FPPs for each VPP awarded to them.

PokerStars PlatinumStar VIP Status

The PlatinumStar level is important for PokerStars players. Although the other levels have some good value, this is the level where the PokerStars VIP Program shows excellent value when compared to almost any other program in online poker. PlatinumStars may purchase bonuses in the VIP Store worth up to $650 and are awarded 2.5 FPPs for each VPP earned. To achieve PlatinumStar status, you must earn 7,500 VPPs in one month.

PokerStars Supernova VIP Status

Player who can earn 100,000 VPPs in one calendar year will be rewarded with Supernova VIP Status at PokerStars. These players will receive great benefits, as achieving Supernova Status is no easy feat. They will earn 3.5 FPPs for every VPP. The cash bonus that may be purchased by Supernova’s jumps to $1,500 at the low-end, but there is also a $4,000 Supernova bonus that may be purchased. This $4k bonus is one of the best values you will find online in terms of dollars per point.

Supernovas will also receive other cash bonuses for their achievement. Upon earning 100,000 points and the status of PokerStars Supernova, players are rewarded with a $1,000 bonus in exchange for only 50,000 FPPs. This is the first of several VIP Milestone Bonuses that PokerStars offers to Supernovas and Supernova Elites.

Other VIP Milestone Bonuses available to Supernova VIPs include $3400 at 200k VPP, $3600 at 300k VPP, $3800 at 400k VPP, $4000 at 500k VPP, $4400 at 600k VPP, $4600 at 700k VPP and $5000 at 800k VPP. This is a total of $29,800 just in Milestone Bonuses available to Supernova VIPs. That does not include the regular cash bonuses that may be purchased.

As you can see, gaining PokerStars Supernova Status is very lucrative indeed. However, there is one more status level available at PokerStars, and it is one of the most exclusive clubs in online poker.

PokerStars Supernova Elite VIP Status

The Supernova Elite VIP Status is reserved for the top tier of online poker grinders. Players who have earned the status of Supernova Elite have dedicated themselves to playing hours upon hours every day, week, and month of the year. It requires 1 million VPPs in one year to receive this distinction, but those who can do it are rewarded handsomely.

In addition to all of the benefits of each level before them, Supernova Elites, who earn 5 FPPs for every VPP, are eligible for a number of additional bonuses. Upon earning 1 million FPPs and achieving Supernova Elite, they may purchase a $10,000 bonus for a mere 50,000 FPPs. They may purchase this bonus again at 1.25, 1.5, and 1.75 million VPPs. If they can earn 2 million VPPs, the reward jumps to $20,000.

Supernova Elites also gain free entry into the WCOOP Main Event, a $5,000 value. On top of this they will receive a free entry to two of the largest land-based tournaments in the world. The first is the World Series of Poker Main Event, worth $10,000. Then they may choose entry to another land-based tournament sponsored by PokerStars, or $10,000 cash.

The value of attaining Supernova Elite VIP Status at PokerStars is estimated to be well in excess of $100,000 – just in bonuses! Again though, this is not easy. In fact, in 2009 there were only 209 Supernova Elites out of the hundreds of thousands of players who play on PokerStars. However, if you are able to reach this ultimate VIP level, you will enjoy tons of great benefits and a very fat wallet along with it.
